778MAD Drive — Driver Terms (draft, last updated October 2026)

1. What 778MAD Drive is. 778MAD Drive is booking software for licensed for-hire drivers (for example livery and taxi drivers). It replaces taking bookings by phone or text: it gives you your own web page where your own clients can see prices, book a time and pay you. 778MAD Drive is not a transportation company, does not employ you, does not dispatch rides and is not a party to the rides between you and your clients.

2. Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for your rides and your business, including: holding every license and permit required where you operate (for example a City of Chicago chauffeur license, livery/vehicle licensing and airport permits where applicable); carrying commercial insurance that covers paid passenger transportation; keeping your vehicle safe and legal; the prices you set; taxes on your income; and complying with all laws that apply to you.

2a. Licenses and insurance. 778MAD Drive does not check, verify or approve your licenses, permits or insurance. Keeping them valid for paid passenger rides is entirely your responsibility. We may pause or close an account if we learn that a driver operates without the licenses or insurance the law requires. Taxi drivers are responsible for confirming that the prices they charge through the platform comply with the taxi fare rules that apply to them.

3. Payments from your clients. Your clients pay you through your own Stripe account. Money goes directly to you; 778MAD Drive does not hold your clients' money. You accept Stripe's terms when you create your account. You are responsible for refunds, cancellations, disputes and chargebacks on your rides.

4. Free preview. After you sign up you can see your booking page for a limited number of days without paying. Clients cannot book during the preview. If you do not activate before the preview ends, your page, photos and information are deleted automatically.

5. Fees. To activate you pay the activation fee shown at sign-up (it includes your first month), then a monthly subscription, charged automatically to your card. You can cancel at any time from your panel; your page stops taking bookings at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. If a monthly payment fails, your page may be paused until it is paid.

6. Your content and data. You confirm that the photos, names and information you upload are yours and accurate. You may not use the platform for anything illegal or misleading. Your clients' information may only be used to provide and follow up on their rides.

7. Service. We work to keep the platform available, but it is provided "as is". We may update features, fix errors or pause an account that breaks these terms. To the maximum extent allowed by law, 778MAD Drive is not liable for lost income, missed rides, or disputes between you and your clients, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last three months.
